When you take a tour at McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary, you are guided by one of our knowledgeable zookeepers, someone who not only cares for the animals every day but also knows the stories of each ones history. Throughout the tour you will learn about the origins of our animals and discover fascinating facts about their species making the experience both educational and enjoyable for children and adults alike.

Tours last between 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours and are held rain or shine; we happily provide umbrellas when needed. Along the way your guide will bring some of the animals up close for a truly unforgettable encounter. This is an adventure unlike any other and you will have the chance to connect with wildlife in a way few people ever do. During your tour, don’t miss our reptile room home to an impressive collection of snakes including rattlesnakes, vipers, cobras, green mambas, as well as Gila monsters, pancake tortoises, rhino iguana, and many more fascinating species.
